REVIEW:
Earthwatch is a non-profit organization whose members strive to "improve human understanding of the planet,
the diversity of its inhabitants, and the processes that affect the quality of life on Earth. The group combines both citizens and scientists in projects to maintain the Earth's ecosystem. The page has sections on student awards, field research opportunites, fellowships/internships and school partnerships. The section on the worldwide network of scientists is easily accessible and provides links to scientists broken out by their speciality. An excellent feature is the Ask the Scientist page where questions have been posted from students and a scientist specializing in that particular field answers them. This site is excellent for any ecologically-minded users, although most of the text is for older children and adults.
