VolcanoWorld http://volcano.und.nodak.edu/
CONTENT:
This site is the ULTIMATE information source about volcanoes.
AESTHETICS:
The only drawback to this site is that all of the beautifully explanitive photos make the site very heavy and time consuming to load.
ORGANIZATION:
For the size and scope of this site, it is very well-organized, using a framed page with a table of contents always available.

REVIEW:
This site is absolutely spectacular in its information base. there is just so much to learn, see and do on this site that it will be impossible to give a fair representation here, but none-the-less, here are a few: "What is Volcano World?" explains the project plus provides links to updates on volcanic activity, how volcanoes work, submarine and planetary volcanoes, and more; "Volcanic Parks and Monuments" provides internal detailed links to
very specific data and photos; and the "Learning about Volcanoes" section is a must-see, with well-illustrated online lessons that are well documented with tests, quizzes, activities and more... Don't miss it! These lessons are available in HyperStudio for download too. There is also a section "Ask a Volcanologist", there is a monthly contest, volcano news, and a Kids Door
that in and of itself is a great resource. The search option of this site works very well, as does the bibliography search. This site does a wonderful service to the education community.
