CONTENT:
The ArchNet Web site provides access to almost everything related to archaeology on the Internet. Users will find region-specific archaeological resources, information about archaeology disciplines, featured sites and museums, among other information.

AESTHETICS:
The graphics are simple and sharp. The color scheme is earth tones, keeping in line with the archaeology theme. The text is on the small side but easy to read.

ORGANIZATION:
The site offers frames, non-frames, and text only versions. Users can also view the site (text only) in Catalan, Dutch, French, German, Italian, or Spanish (or the default English). The site is organized by geographic region and by subject area. The help menu explains two ways to navigate the site. Graphical and text navigation menus are at the bottom of each page. Users can return to the home page from anywhere by clicking on the logo at the top of the page.

REVIEW:
The purpose of the ArchNet Web site is to maintain links to archaeological materials for teaching and/or research, and, to develop material to increase public understanding of archaeology. The site offers an extensive list of archaeology resources. Users can view archaeological sites and information for specific regions via the clickable map at the site. The site has information for archaeology disciplines and related subjects, links to museums on the Web, news, and links to journals and listservs. This is a great site for educators and professionals in the field to connect and to gather information.
