Driving Under the Influence
http://library.thinkquest.org/23713/
GRADE LEVEL: 8-12

CONTENT:
Driving Under the Influence is the place to find all sorts of important information about the dangers of driving while under the influence of alcohol and other drugs. The site includes interactive quizzes at the end of each section.

AESTHETICS:
The site has some cool Java graphics. Black and yellow warning stripes decorate the borders of the pages.

ORGANIZATION:
This is a high-tech site that requires several advanced features such as Java, Shockwave, frames, and dynamic HTML. The first page will tell you if you have the right browser and plug-ins. A comprehensive sidebar in the left frame can be navigated with either Java or HTML menus.

REVIEW:
Yet another great site put together by high school students for the 1998 ThinkQuest competition! Driving Under the Influence is an outstanding resource on the effects of alcohol and drugs on our bodies and how they can influence our ability to drive safely. You'll find important statistics on traffic accidents and fatalities involving drunk drivers and first-hand accounts of individuals whose lives have been dramatically and tragically altered by such accidents. The site is divided into several sections, with quizzes at the end of each one. Students can create an interface and keep track of their scores as they go along. Health teachers, science teachers, and counselors should all bookmark this site!
