Arab World
http://www.arabworld.com/

B CONTENT:
This site contains a comprehensive collection of information about the Arab World -- its people, culture, history, religions, attractions, news, businesses, etc. (from the 1995 CIA World Factbook).

B AESTHETICS:
Very simple layouts, the site title and each subsequent country page title are written in Arabic which enhances the "feel" of the site.

B ORGANIZATION:
The homepage is a table containing the flags of each of the countries, providing each section its own box and link. An alternate "home page" has a clickable map of the area. The detailed information for each country is a long list of text with a link back to the home page at the bottom of every page.

REVIEW:
When you click on the link for each of these countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, U.A.E., West Sahara and Yemen, a long list of information appears. Sections of data include the Geography, People, Government, Economy, Transportation, Communications and Defense Forces. A lot of information here! This would be a great resource for social studies or history units on the Middle East or "The Arab World" and student reports. The information would also work for any number of comparative themes in political science, geography, economics and culture. The site is also currently updating itself and will include additional information in the future including opinions, history and business data.
