REVIEW:
Michelangelo is one of the world's most famous artists. He lived a long and complicated life that is reflected in the depth of his works. Teachers will be impressed at the excellent job this site does of covering the major aspects of Michelangelo's life in a fairly short biography. The site divides the great master's life up into three major sections: Early Life, Mid Years, and Final Days. Each section discusses the major events of Michelangelo's life and offers a brief description of the most important works he produced in that time period. Included are links to images of the works. The site lacks anecdotal stories of the great master's colorful life and temperament, but it does a good job of describing his emotional struggles and the monumental complexity of his art.
