REVIEW:
High School NewsWeb is a "free, on-line news wire and resource center designed for high school journalists and their advisors". The website aims to join online high school papers throughout the country (eventually the world) and provides information for both new and experienced users. The goals that are listed describe the content of the website as well: To serve as an introductory tool for high school journalists and advisers just getting acquainted with the Web. To enable high school journalists and advisors to get in touch with others using the Web and e-mail. To make articles, graphics, statistics and ideas created by high school journalists across the country available to other high school journalists for free. To serve as a center where high school journalists can conduct live interviews with nationally-known experts. To serve as a site for high school journalists and advisors to exchange ideas and share concerns. To list resources on the Web useful for high school journalists. To link together the growing number of on-line high school newspapers. To serve as a learning site for those wishing to put their newspapers on line." The main menu has sections for advisors, news articles, member directories and online press conferences. Think of this as a sort of news wire for high school journalists and you'll get a lot out of it.
