REVIEW:
America's Heroes and You is a curriculum for Elementary and Junior High School students in grades 5 through 9 (though the site mentions the lessons can be adjusted for younger and older students). The idea behind the curriculum is to "ensure that these heroes and their lives become role models for our society and, most importantly, for our young people, so that they too can reach their fullest potential as human beings." Each lesson highlights one quality that exemplifies a particular hero and part of the plan allows students to identify and use that quality in themselves or their environment. The site has background information on the lessons and a link to a sample lesson. Ordering information and pricing is also listed.
