REVIEW:
This expedition into the future will help students connect "present choices and actions to future consequences thereby sensitizing them to the needs of future generations." Students will learn to use futurists' tools to collect a wide range of information on social, technological, economic, environmental, and political trends. This information is applied to a "futures wheel" to determine the first, second, and third order impacts of the trends. Students then use the information to write their scenarios for the future. The site offers a secure forum for students to collaborate with students around the world. Also included is a host of annotated Web resources and work generated by students.
