This site is dedicated "to making a difference in the lives of youth by addressing their interests, needs and concerns as they relate to drugs."
STEPonline has an elegant, professional layout with an optional Flash movie intro.
The main page has a graphical menu that uses rollovers to describe the selections. Each of the sections has a left-side menu for navigating between sections of the site.
STEPonline is a comprehensive resource for drug-abuse education. STEP stands for students, teachers, employers, and parents. Visitors will find lots of useful information about drug education programs, media literacy, peer pressure, goal setting, and decision making. The Need to Know section deals with general information about kinds of drugs and drug use. Arugula Jones is available to answer students' questions about drugs, health issues, and relationships. The messages of popular ads are analyzed in Deconstruct the Message. Included are discussion forums for each section of the site for teachers, students, and parents to discuss the issues that concern them.
