REVIEW:
This site covers the history of five families who lived in a particular house in Ipswich, Massachusetts, over a period of 200 years. Users can view the gallery to see pictures of the house, learn about the Victory Garden, or learn about the house and its acquisition by the Smithsonian. By clicking on a family name, users can view an introduction to the family, images and descriptions of family artifacts, and a short summary of how they used a room in the house. The resource section provides lesson plans and a reading list and links. The House Clues section explores ways to determine the history of your house. The Go Back in Time section challenges students to look at the images and choose the time period to which they belong.
