REVIEW:
The site's five main sections -- Local History, Federal City, African American Heritage, US Presidents, and Specialty Tours -- are each rich in content. Students can learn about the people and places, the building of the city, and the government. They can also take a virtual tour of the monuments. Specialty Tours include the African American Heritage Tour, the Civil War Tour, the Dupont Circle/Kalorama Tour, and the Potomac Adventure. There is a lesson plan section for teachers and an interactive time line. Also included are additional resources.
