CONTENT:
Girlstart is a nonprofit organization that promotes science-, math-, and technology-related skills for girls. The Web site is a gathering place for middle school-age girls.

AESTHETICS:
The site is pretty, pink, and bubbly. Some of the games require a particular browser to view.

ORGANIZATION:
Each page contains a top navigation bar, and each subsection menu appears right below it.

REVIEW:
Girlstart is a place where a girl can learn about women who are successful in the business world, read news that is of interest to girls, sign up for a free E-mail account, view Web pages designed by other girls, play games and puzzles, and even calculate how many days until her birthday right down to the second. Other features include homework help, a birthday club, fun and games, quizzes, and games. Other offerings include contests, downloadable screen savers, and e-postcards.
