CONTENT:
This site features photographs and interactive maps of more than 100 western ghost towns.

AESTHETICS:
The black background makes a nice backdrop for the gorgeous photos.

ORGANIZATION:
The site is set in frames, and the menu on the left side of the page remains constant. Photos and other information appear in the frame on the right. Links to the ghost towns are arranged alphabetically by state.

REVIEW:
Take your students on a virtual visit to the ghost towns of the gold rush days. Journey through California, Nevada, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Idaho, and Montana. Explore the abandoned boomtowns that were once thriving communities. Included are interactive maps, a brief Gold Rush History, and links to other ghost town sites. Be sure to send a friend a virtual Ghost Town postcard. The site is available in both English and German.
