MathNerds was created by the Center for Advancement of Teaching, Xavier University, as a service for providing help in solving mathematical problems.

This site has a very simple, inviting design.

Navigation could not be easier, with instructions for posing a question right on the front page. A top and bottom text menu also appears.

Do your students have questions about math that sometimes have even the teacher stumped? Then this is the "ask the expert" site for you. The MathNerds are volunteer industrial and academic mathematicians who are ready to give suggestions, clarification, and clues in order for students to solve the problem themselves. The Archive of past questions is searchable by keyword, date, and category. A collection of mind-boggling problems, contributed by users, can be found in the Best of the MathNerds section. Also included are a handful of articles on math-related topics.
