Site URL: MyCollegOptions.org
Content: Designed to help students and their parents select colleges and prepare young people to attend, MyCollegeOptions.org covers a lot of ground. While the site does not offer great depth on any one topic, it does have content (both video and text) in a broad range of areas. There are sections on everything from the application process to paying for school and preparing to actually go there.
Design: The site has very basic navigation, with most of the main sections being accessible through simple links on the home page. Once you get to a section, content is accessed through a scroller. MyCollegeOptions.org’s design almost looks unfinished, but it's easy enough to get where you are going.
Review: MyCollegeOptions.org has a lot of helpful content for parents or students just starting the process of picking a college. The information tends to be a little basic, but since picking a college can be a daunting process for many people, that level of simplicity would be appreciated by many who visit. The site also has a number of useful tools like its scholarship matcher, which helps parents find ways to actually pay for college.
Bottom Line: Despite its basic design, MyCollegeOptions.org offers resources that can simplify the process of choosing, paying for and attending college.
