Mop Top the Hip Hop Scientist celebrates African-Americans in the sciences and provides interactive activities for students.
The site is colorful and easy to use, with a left side navigation menu that lists the names of the scientists, as well as other links.

This resource is designed for younger students and highlights the lives and work of several African-Americans in the sciences. Scientists include such notables as George Washington Carver, Mae Jemison, Elijah McKoy, and others. The interactive lab section offers links to interactive activities, some off-site, that students can use to learn more about science topics. These topics include how an airplane stays in the air, how 3D graphics work, how gas masks work, and more. The activities section offers an interactive crossword puzzle and an interactive word search puzzle.
