REVIEW:
This compelling site from RadioWorks offers reports on how global warming is affecting lives around the world. The reports feature such locations as the ice caps of the Ecuadorian Andes, the snows of Kilimanjaro, the island of Tuvalu and the islands of the Republic of Kiribati in the Pacific Ocean, Bangladesh, Northwest Tanzania, and the town of Churchill in Upper Manitoba known as The Polar Bear Capital of the World. Users can also listen to the entire radio documentary, read the transcript and see a slide show of the effects of climate change in Bangladesh. Included is a link to more programming on climate change, Climate of Uncertainty. This would be a great site for students and teachers to use as they prepare for discussions of environmental issues.
