CONTENT:

The U.S. Department of Labor and the U. S. Department of Education collaborated to create this site to provide information on "high growth, in-demand occupations along with the skills and education needed to attain those jobs."

SITE DESIGN:

The site is organized into four areas: students, parents, career changers, and career advisors. Users may explore the site by following the links to these four areas on the main page or by choosing an industry category through the links on the left side of the page. The links at the bottom of the main page take users to educational opportunities. There is also a site map available.

REVIEW:
Career Voyages gives students, parents, and counselors information and resources for making good career choices and the educational opportunities to prepare for them. The site explores career options in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, automotive services, construction, energy, health care, homeland security, hospitality, information technology, retail, transportation, and more. Users can learn where to get started, which industries are growing, how to qualify for a good job, and how to prepare for the job, as well as how to pay for the education required.
