Grade Level: 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, Professional

FREE (Federal Resources for Educational Excellence) is the result of more than thirty Federal agencies working together to make hundreds of Federally supported teaching and learning resources easier to find.
This is a text-based site that uses spacing and a few well-placed graphics to break up the text.
The site is well-organized, with the resources categorized by subject and listed in the left side navigation menu. There is also a top navigation bar, a handy subject map, and a search feature for finding information quickly.

Teachers will find this site to be a welcome one-stop source of educational resources from more than thirty-five federal organizations including the Library of Congress, NASA, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Gallery of Art, the Smithsonian Institution, and others. Resources are available on thousands of topics in a variety of formats including teaching ideas, learning activities, photographs, maps, primary documents, and much more. The What's New section lists the newest additions to the site by date.
