Wyland Ocean Challenge: "Clean Water for the 21st Century"

CONTENT:
This site, developed by Scripps Institution of Oceanography (UCSD) and marine life artist Wyland, offers an interdisciplinary K-12 art and science program that explores many clean water issues.
AESTHETICS:
This well-designed site features a consistent color scheme and layout that makes it user-friendly and attractive. Some of its features are available in Spanish.
ORGANIZATION:
The menu on the left side makes navigation easy. Each section offers a submenu for further navigation.

REVIEW:
Wyland Ocean Challenge offers complete K-12 art and science curriculum materials. The curriculum offers many activities that are tied to national science and visual arts standards. Best of all, the curriculum resources are free for teachers to download and use in their classrooms. Included are worksheets and sample Newspapers in Education activities. The Art Contest section includes images of the previous winners' artwork and information on rules and regulations.
