Healthy School Environments
One-stop site from the EPA for info on healthy schools.
Grade Level: Advanced, Professional

Healthy School Environments is an extension of the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) site and provides resources for all stakeholders involved in making the school environment a healthier place, both inside and out.
The site is mostly text-based, with few graphics, and has a layout that is straightforward and user-friendly.
The content can be navigated via the left side menu. The site also offers a search tool, as well as a list of links on the right side of the page.
Healthy School Environments was developed as a way for facility managers, school administrators, architects, design engineers, school nurses, parents, and teachers to find online resources about environmental health issues in schools. It is truly a one-stop source of information, meant to answer all of your environmental questions. Topics include everything from energy efficiency and indoor air quality to waste reduction and water quality. Included are quick links to EPA programs for schools, such as the Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools kit and the Integrated Pest Management in Schools program.
