State and Local District Report Cards

All U.S. states and local education agencies receiving Title I, Part A funds are required by the No Child Left Behind Act to prepare and distribute report cards to parents, community members, and other stakeholders. The state report cards must include information related to assessments, accountability, and teacher quality, and must include data from all of the state's local education agencies.

Local education agency report cards also must include information related to assessments, accountability, and teacher quality as that information applies to the local education agency as a whole and as it applies to each school served by the local education agency. Individual school report cards are not required, but information about each school must be included in the local education agency report card.
