Service Learning

Service learning is student programming organized in relation to a specific academic course or curriculum, with clearly stated learning objectives that address real community needs in a sustained manner over a period of time.

Service learning differs from community service in that the projects are tied to classroom lessons, while at the same time, students are encouraged to share their findings and implement their ideas in their communities.
