Act It Out

Share

Invite your children to act like a bear. Count to ten, then ring a bell. Children must then stop and listen for another command, such as

  • Act like a clown.
  • Act like a fire fighter.
  • Act like an elephant.
  • Act like a bank teller.
  • Act like a garbage man.
  • Act like a president.
  • Act like a chef.
  • Act like a baseball player.
  • Act like a ballerina.
Make up additional commands. Count to ten and ring the bell to have children switch roles. You may want to include in this game "characters" that are related to a theme you are studying or that are found in your school community.
