For a unit on transportation, try this bulletin board idea: Give each child a pre-cut car shape. Invite children to paint their cars any color they wish. Staple black construction paper onto your bulletin board to form "roads." Use yellow or white chalk to create broken lines down the middle of each "road." Encourage each child to tell you where his or her car is going. Record each response and the child's name on an index card. Complete your bulletin board by placing children's cars and cards at spots along the "road."
