Brief Description

Students listen to a recording of "Penny Lane" by the Beatles and fill in the missing lyrics.

computers with Internet access or a recording of "Penny Lane"; printed copies of the Penny Lane Activity work sheet (available online); pens or pencils

Lesson Plan

 

  • Ask students to go to The Beatles: Penny Lane and click a box under "New Feature" to listen to a recording of "Penny Lane."
  • Distribute the Penny Lane Activity work sheet, and have students fill in the missing lyrics.

Assessment

Evaluate the information on students' work sheets.
