Create Video or
DVD Recordings
Of the School Year

Share

By preserving the major events or significant happenings at your school on either a videotape or DVD, you will be making those events a part of the historical remembrances of the school year and your school's history.

At one of the schools where I served as a principal, we produced a video at each grade level. On that tape, the major activities or events for the grade level were recorded. Before the event itself was recorded, a small sign introducing the activity was made and videotaped. That saved the need to insert title slides later.

At the end of each grade level's video we added video of whole-school activities, such as musicals or visits from special people, which were significant parts of that school year. Tapes were sold for a nominal charge. Many parents bought more than one; they mailed tapes to grandparents and others.

The lasting values of these items cannot be measured.
