Apple Offers Free ‘Field Trips’ for Students and Teachers

Apple is aiming to make learning new tech a little easier. Designed for either students or faculty, Apple Field Trips provide a one-of-a-kind learning experience. The events are open to primary, middle and high-school students and teachers, and each event can accommodate up to 25 learners.

Students who attend a Field Trip can use the equipment in the Apple Stores—Mac and iPad—to create photo albums in iPhoto, edit videos in iMovie, make Keynote presentations, or even compose their own songs in GarageBand. Trainers and specialists are available to answer questions and give advice.

Students can create something new or bring in projects they’ve already created, sharing them with others and getting recognition for their talent and hard work.

A new dimension of the Field Trip program is faculty-specific events. Administrators can schedule a Field Trip for staff and have specialists show them how Apple products make great tools for teaching and learning.

“Showcase” Field Trips last one hour, and “Create” Field Trips last 90 minutes. It is also possible to schedule more time by contacting a specialist at the local Apple Store.

Field Trips are offered every autumn and spring at Apple Stores across the country. Teachers and administrators interested in booking a Field Trip should visit Apple.com/hk/en/Retail/FieldTrip.
