The Occupational Outlook Handbook
A U.S. government publication. Provides a breakdown of Jobs (called "Outlook for Specific Occupations") including the nature of each job, employment conditions, working environment, outlook for the profession, training necessary, earnings statistics, and related occupations. Also, there is a valuable page entitled "Tomorrow's Jobs" which gives statistics about the future of the country's jobs and which areas are growing and receding, etc. Although a lot of these pages may seem dry to a student, this site offers an incredible knowledge base for anyone with interest in choosing a career.
