Drawing Adjectives
Brief Description
Students illustrate adjectives by 'drawing' each word and putting them into a class book.
Objectives
Students who are visual and artistic learners will practice recognizing and using adjectives.

Materials Needed
Paper and markers, colored pencils, paints, or crayons
Lesson Plan
Explain to students that adjectives are words that describe other words. They tell which, what kind, and how many.

Illustrate several adjectives on the chalkboard. Draw the word 'curly' by using curly lines. Write the word red with red chalk.

Ask students to illustrate words of their own.

Compile the words into a book and review the book with the entire class. Discuss and praise each adjective.

Use the book for future lessons and make it available in a classroom learning center for reference.
Assessment
Evaluate the accuracy of the adjectives.
