Overview: Students work in teams to research inventions that have made an impact on life in the United States. Assuming the roles of historian, economist, reporter, and scientist, each team member completes a written project -- such as a timeline or a report -- about five inventions he or she thinks have influenced U.S. society. Team members then discuss their choices and reach a consensus on the five inventions that have most affected American life. Teams then develop a multimedia presentation about their choices and share it with the entire class.
Notes: Please note the following changes in the Individual Roles section.
