Not every student (or teacher!) is anxious to learn about the parts of a computer. Still, some basic knowledge (such as knowing where the fan is on your computer so you won't block it and overheat your machine!) can be essential to a stress-free tech experience!

Make learning a game.
Teach students to identify computer parts by playing computer Bingo. Hold up a picture of a computer component and have students mark the corresponding word on Bingo cards.
Display PC hardware on classroom walls.
Create a bulletin board using old computer parts. Write on index cards the name of each component and a sentence explaining its purpose.
Turn students into software experts.
Demonstrate that pressing ALT and F4 at the same time will close 90 percent of all PC windows and programs.
