African-american writer Ida B Wells was born on July 16, 1862. During her time, many black people were being killed in the South. Wells bravely visit the places where those killings took place and wrote about them. After one of her stories were published, her office in tennessee was robed and her live was threatened. Wells moved to Chicago it was there that she wrote a detailed report about the killings and lead the fight to end them.
