“This is a our of history that troubles our minds and hurts our hearts” said Gerald Ford when he became the 38th President. Ford had been vice president of the U.S. under president Richard Nixon. He was not elected vice president he had been appointed to the office by Nixon when Nixons vice president resigned. When Nixon resign, Ford became the only president who had not been elected to office. Gerald Ford was born on July 14 1913.
