When George Herbert Walker Bush was elected 41st President of the United States, he promise to make America "a kinder and gentler nation". Bush was born in Milton, Massachusetts on June 12, 1924 he enlisted in the navy on his 18th birthday and became it's younguest pilot. After World War II, he married Barbara Pierce. They had five children, including a son who would also be come president!
