Charles R Drew was born on June 3, 1904. Only two medical schools of his time would admit African Americans, but Charles is immediately excepted at McGill university in Montreal Canada. At McGill, Drew begun his research into blood. He discovered that blood plasma, without cells, wood last longer then hole blood. He used a refrigerated truck -- the first "bloodmobile" -- to transport blood that saved many lives in World war II.
