Born on May 20, 1768, Dolley Madison grew up in a strict home. In 1790, she married John Todd Jr. She gave birth to they're sun a short time before yellow fever take her husbands life. As a young widow, Dolley's beauty and charm drew much attention. She wed James Madison in 1794 When Madison became U.S. President, Dolley make everyone feel welcome at the white house. Dolley was loved and honored by all whom knew or met her.
