What is rigor? Should teachers attempt to create a rigorous environment for all students? Rigor is meant for each student, not just honors or advanced students. The video below also highlights the importance of the language educators use to show support for students.

As teachers, we have to tap into students' specific aspects of motivation--in particular, two facets of intrinsic motivation: value and success.
