Motivating Kids Tip #5

Share

Displaying unusual or unexpected props in the classroom can grab students' attention and engage them in a lesson. Use multicultural dolls to enhance a social studies lesson, playing cards or dice to teach a math lesson, or fortune cookies to introduce a writing assignment, for example.

For an example of a lesson using engaging props, check out Fortune Cookies Motivate Writing.
