If your students tend to be noisy while lining up to leave the classroom for recess, lunch, or dismissal, challenge them to play the "silence game." Hold up an egg timer and tell students you bet they can't be quiet until time is up. After a few seconds, start asking individual questions. Students who answer you "lose" the bet!
