1999 BROUGHT A NEW LOOK TO EDUCATION WORLD!

We at Education World truly appreciate you making Education World the #1 ranked K-12 education Web site on the Net. Over the past two years, Education World has gone through a lot of changes. Here are some of the highlights of our growth:

• Our traffic has gone from 50,000 page views per month to nearly 3,000,000!
• We have added more than 80,000 new links to our database!
• There are over 6,500 individual categories of information, and over 12,000 pages!
• We now have over 1,500 original articles, lesson plans, and reviews.
• We have added many new sections to serve educators .
• We have made a newly designed job listing and resume area.

The Education World Web site now has so much information and so many great resources and features, we needed to redesign the site to better communicate that information to our valued users.

Our goal was to provide easier access to all of Education World's thousands of resources. How did we do that, you may ask? We have done it through a comprehensive redesign of our entire site. This new design incorporates new Site Guides and Section Guides for one-click access to EVERY major resource center within Education World!

This redesign was also a direct response to our users' needs and feedbacks. The entire staff of Education World sat down together, looked at every section of the site, and read every feedback related to our site's design, speed, and functionality.

We then designed-- and redesigned-- our look, our structure, and our flow of information. We cut down on graphics and enhanced our servers. Then we asked YOU, our users, what you thought of the new design. We read your comments, and designed again.

The result is the Education World you see today-a concise representation of Educators' needs. We thank all who helped and participated in this design process which has given educators a comprehensive place on the Internet to find valued classroom and home education resources.
