THE GOOD

I stumbled upon your website a few days ago and got to "birdwalking"-there are so many great links!. You can bet I have you bookmarked now! I have never run across such a complete information system. I am part of the Alliance For Excellence technology group. One of our goals as lead teachers is to help train and inform the staffs at our schools about current technology. We are always looking for excellent sites on the web which our teachers can utilize. This one is wonderful. Thank you!

This is a wonderful site! I am a full time professional organizer who specializes in working with teachers both in and out of the classroom. I will be sure to let all of my clients know about this wonderful resource. Thank you for being here.

I am impressed with this effort. I commend you for setting it up. As Superintendent of the Lebanon School District in Oregon I am very concerned about the state of education in this country and it is refreshing to see a large company such as yours attempting to make a positive contribution is refreshing. I will watch as it grows and attempt to contribute in any way possible to its sucess.

I want to congratulate you on this extraordinary web site. The depth and breadth of resources is just wonderful and has been helpful to me in many different ways this morning. I will definitely be back to visit this site and have determined that this is one of my top five to refer my preservice teachers to. Please keep up the excellent job you are doing. Thanks

I cannot tell you what an invaluable resource the Education Site Reviews are for me. I am a middle school principal in Kansas City, Missouri. Your reviews enable me to provided much needed resources for both teachers and students. The amount of dollars we are spending on technology at this point makes it imperative that we use our resources well. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

What a wonderful site for teachers. I tell my staff that their day won't be complete without a visit to Education World. Thanks for being here for us. I'm principal in a school (7-12) with 180 students and 15 faculty, all with lots of Internet access. Sites like yours are a godsend.

THE BAD

this place stinks. i couldn't even find info on fernadad megellan. I can't believe this. I need info on him for a project in school. Now i am screwed.

Note from the Webmaster: Please be careful with spelling of search words, and use the shortest number of words to make your search most accurate.

I am a research volunteer for our secondary curriculum director. I am trying to find info regarding the pros and cons of maintaining a classroom set of textbooks in addition to those issued the students. My search has been fruitless. Can you help me? Our district is considering this expenditure.

I am looking for art lesson plans for the elementary school grade level, but there is nothing at this web site.

Note from the Webmaster: We are constantly expanding our database, and always appreciate feedback on topics of interest to educators to add to our categories and links. If we do not have what you are looking for, please email us, our researcher will send you some links, and we will add them to our database to make it more complete.

Simplistic, one-sided... potentially VERY misleading... these are desciptors that came to my mind while reading the Ability Grouping article on your site. A review of research shows that ability grouping is VERY beneficial for high potential students (yes, there are certain subject areas where the benefits are greatest for homogeneous grouping). The author's emphasis on Wheelock's work exposes his/her personal bias. I can point you to many researchers (e.g., Anne Robinson at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock) who have conducted extensive studies on this topic whose conclusions refute much of what this article states. I expect articles on this site to be well-balanced, thorough examinations of the issues. This article should not have met your standards.

Note from the Webmaster: Our Editor-in-Chief always appreciates and will respond to your opinions on our articles.

I have been a regular user of your site for a few months. And while I always find it immensely useful, I do have one complaint. It is without a doubt one of the slowest commercial sites I have ever visited. I have a cable modem on a 10 gig/second line, and your home page often takes more than a minute to load. Just thought you might like to know.

I was excited to find your website, however, searching and connecting to links was extremely slow.

Note from the Webmaster: We have solved this problem! We have upgraded our hardware and software to meet the needs of our users!
