The American West
http://www.americanwest.com/

A+ CONTENT:
This site has an extensive amount of information for a variety of subjects and is adding more.

A AESTHETICS:
There are few graphics but the color scheme is reminiscent of the West and the structure is easy to follow with your eye.

A+ ORGANIZATION:
The layout of this site is direct and easy to follow. Categories are separated into different sections.

A+ REVIEW:
This site has an enormous amount of information to cover and does it very well. The site focuses on the "old West" and includes information on cowboys, Native Americans, pioneers and pioneer towns, explorers and more. Each of these links lead to whole worlds of information on the topics. Some of the areas are "textbookish" but contain graphics to break up the pages. Other links lead to outside Home Pages and some of them are fantastic. The information on Indian Tribes is quite extensive and interesting. The site also has information on the "modern West" which includes "Cowboys online", Western art, libraries and commercial establishments. There is a section on Western Publications which lists magazines and newspapers on the West for anyone looking for more information. There is even a section on ghost towns and pioneer towns. It could take days to get through all the information but it would be worth the journey.
