American Literary Classics A Chapter A Day
http://www.mindport.net/~arezis/

B+ CONTENT:
Currently the library consists of 4 books plus the current feature.

A AESTHETICS:
The opening page quickly sets the mood for quiet, reflective reading with its colors and commentary.

A ORGANIZATION:
The site has a very simple layout utilizing pictures of novel covers to direct the reader. It is very easy to follow.

A REVIEW:
The concept behind the site is to allow internet users a chance to read an entire novel online, "a chapter a day." The texts are taken directly from the novels and the chapters are linked individually for easy access. Five books, "Little Women", "The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow" (a Halloween special), "The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn", "Moby Dick" and "The House of the Seven Gables", are entered in the site's library and users of the site can choose to read the books in any order or bookmark more than one for variety. The site does feature one classic book in its On The Shelf section. This allows for readers to "turn the pages" electronically by returning to the same browser bookmark and finding a new page open. An added bonus is a reader's comments section where anyone can leave a comment on the current book selection and share ideas about it -- creating an online book club.
