CONTENT:
This site is a "free, full-length, and occasionally interactive statistics textbook."
AESTHETICS:
The site comes in a plain wrapper but is loaded with information for the serious student of statistics. The entire textbook can be downloaded as a .pdf file.
ORGANIZATION:
Set in frames, the site offers simple navigation with a left-side content menu. There is also a handy table of contents for viewing the site at a glance as well as a search function.
REVIEW:
Written by a professor of psychology at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., this site offers teachers and students of statistics lots of information. The free textbook includes 17 chapters that cover such topics as probability, distribution and correlation, and regression. It provides nifty tools for note taking and a pocket calculator. Links to the VassarStats: Web Site for Statistical Computation, by the same author, offers users interactive calculators and other tools to enhance their study.
