Overview: Students work in teams to research information about Cesar Chavez, migrant farm workers, and how Chavez helped unionize farm workers in California in the 1960s. Teams also investigate how theater was used as a means to organize the workers. Each team uses the information to create a play about the problems faced by farm workers in the fields. Teams present the plays to the class or to another audience.
