As the year winds down, Education World brings you a number of fun resources for those end-of-year projects and activities. Start with this week’s featured templates -- a student autograph page and a student memory page -- to help your students record the highlights of their year.
If you want to combine technology with the curriculum in a culminating project, try this week’s technology lesson plan. Digitizing History asks students to work in groups to create a Web site about the Revolutionary War, but any subject you’ve taught this year would work just as well.
As long as you’re creating a Web site, take advantage of Bernie Poole’s templates -- 11 handouts to lead students (or you) step-by-step through the process of creating a Web site.
Miguel Guhlin offers administrators and tech coordinators practical tips for enhancing Moodle use at the district level.
And VisibleBody -- Alma Row’s gadget of the week -- takes kids from elementary school through medical school on a virtual tour of the human body. GPS for the body, Alma calls it.
Finally, be sure to check out this week’s featured video. Liberty Tax Man, created by students in St. Louis, Missouri, has some important lessons to teach us all.
And have a great week!
