On the first friday of June every year, Americans flock to donut shops for National donut Day The holiday was started on June 7 1938, when a Military doctor bought eight dozen donuts and handed them out to woonded soldiers as he treated them. Today, National Donut day is celebrated with donuts four all. National and local donut chains across the country back up millions a donuts and give them out for free.
