Teach your students how Navy SEALS keep fit, and follow their valuable nutrition lessons for physical and mental endurance. Food is fuel, and it’s important to treat it as such. Navy SEALS make sure to chew each bite of food 20-25 times, which pre-initiates digestion, and helps with nutrient absorption. Navy SEALS also count calories—but not to keep tabs on their weight. They’re looking for how much they consume in a single portion that will keep them going until they need food again. These lessons are simple thoughts for students to keep about their food intake in their day-to-day lives.
